Changelog

What's new in Mekutte. Most recent updates first.

  1. v1.5.0

    • Feature

Unpublish directly from the deck list

Published decks can now be made private from their row menu. After confirmation, Mekutte safely removes the public URL and related comments, reactions, participants, and poll results, and immediately frees the slot on the Free plan.

  2. v1.4.0

    • Feature

Dedicated detail pages for every major feature

Added dedicated pages for reactions, QR participation, flips, polls, charts, timers, slide transitions, appearance, and comment recaps. Charts, flips, animations, and light/dark modes include live previews alongside their available options and Markdown syntax.

    • Improvement

Improved SEO foundations and product discovery

Refined the home-page heading structure, metadata, robots policy, localized sitemap, canonical and hreflang links, and structured data. Every feature card now links to its detail page, with bottom-page CTAs, related features, and alternating Mekutaro illustrations available in all 12 languages.

  3. v1.3.0

    • Feature

Expanded multilingual support to 12 languages

Mekutte is now available in Japanese, English, Chinese, Korean, Spanish, Portuguese, French, German, Indonesian, Thai, Vietnamese, and Hindi. The language switcher now places English first so international visitors can find it quickly.

    • Improvement

Localized product, demo, and creation flows in depth

Remaining English copy across the landing page charts, slide animation and dark-mode demos, demo pages, deck list, slide creation flow, audience pages, cheat sheet, FAQ, and release notes has been translated for each supported language.

    • Fix

Improved stability for localized pages and PWA metadata

The global 404 page, localized Web App Manifest, legal-page notices, public-deck OGP rendering, and invalid checkout request handling were tightened so localized experiences no longer fall back to fixed English text or crash on edge cases.

  4. v1.2.0

    • Feature

Automatic OGP images for published slides

Shared public decks now render a simple OGP image using the slide title and Mekutte logo. URLs with `?slide=` generate an image that reflects the title of that specific slide.

    • Improvement

Preview follows your Markdown editing position

When you click inside the Markdown editor, the preview now jumps to the matching slide automatically, making it easier to stay oriented while editing.

    • Feature

      Coach-mark onboarding in the editor

First-time users can now learn the main editing and publishing flow through in-context coach marks. There is no separate tutorial button, so the onboarding stays out of the way.

    • Feature

Audience members can add poll options

When an audience member chooses Other, they can submit a free-text answer that becomes part of the poll. Poll results now use a readable grayscale treatment in both light and dark mode.

    • Improvement

Editor UI and dark-mode readability polish

The cheat sheet and image guide now share the same visual treatment with better spacing. The login modal, URL copy button, and poll count text are also clearer in dark mode.

  5. v1.1.0

    • Feature

Slide transition animations are now configurable

Pick between None, Fade, Slide, and Zoom from the publish settings dialog. The choice is saved per deck. Default is None; the demo deck ships with Slide.

    • Feature

      Draw charts directly in Markdown

Write a ```chart bar/line/pie block inside a slide and a colorful SVG chart is rendered inline using a dedicated 6-color palette. Titles and data labels can be set inside the block.

    • Feature

PWA support — add Mekutte to your home screen

On Chrome, Edge, and iOS Safari you can now install Mekutte through the browser's "Add to home screen" menu and launch it like a native app.

    • Improvement

Added an FAQ section to the home page

Ten of the most common pre-signup questions are now expandable inline on the landing page. Structured data is also attached so search engines can show them as rich results.

    • Improvement

Polished dark mode and image layout

Slide body text now renders as white in dark mode on published decks and the audience page. Uploaded images reserve their final dimensions so there is no layout shift while loading.

  6. v1.0.0

    • Feature

      Mekutte launches

Hide answers with flips, gather reactions, comments, and QR-based participation from the audience, run polls in Markdown, pin countdown timers, write speaker-only notes (`?>` syntax), use the presenter view, subscribe to Pro, and switch between ja / en and light / dark — Mekutte ships with the full essentials.
